千年一音大合唱 2009.

it's 2.54am, saturday.
because I just came back from a gig with heavy makeup and crazy hair. (more on that later! if I can)
here I am, killing time while my hair dries
yes, I refuse to use the hair dryer.

so after I said yes to Cinch (after her countless pleas), I joined ajchoir in this Voices of Harmony concert.
as an alumni this time.

confession time.
I didn't immediately said yes to Cinch due to cowardly reasons (read: loneliness.)
probably because of my current predicament (not an undergraduate) that I can't help feeling a little left out at times.
I feel uncomfortable at social events, 'which uni are you at?' is a taboo etc.
and also because no one from my batch was available cos they are all having exams.
that I was feeling apprehensive agreeing.

but all in all, I'm glad that things wasn't as bad as it turned out. (phew!)
and special shoutout to Jiemin, you have been a really great company!

black dress with the tights underneath.

talk about black friday.
not that I'm superstitious but it wasn't my day.

vital messed up my pay.
work was alright.
but the day didn't end on a good note with a particular conservation.

'haven you considered retaking your A levels?'
'I was like you, I retook and I performed better.'
'I told myself I want to be the anomaly among the people who did badly for their re-takes.'
'don't say no, just because it's troublesome.'
'when I know that you're extending, I was like, "huh?"'
'think about what I said ya?'

here we go, all over again.

later was dinner with the girls.
Huiling and Pow didn't join us.
and my mood was further dampened by the rain.

2009, we signed up but didn't go.

Powpow was down with her quote, 'annual major flu'.

Chenyen and I were fit enough for the run.

but on the actual day, we realised we had to pay for the baggage deposit during registration.

which we didn't.

ah well, I paid $25 for a fila top then.

turns out Ting Ting didn't go for the run as well.

hmm, judging from the post-run email from the officals, turnout was rather good.

but why do I get the feeling that everyone around me didn't go?

maybe I have a small social circle haha.

work, work and more work. did it rain?

had teh tarik and I couldn't sleep on the long bus ride home.

watched (brainless) videos from clicknetwork.tv to let the caffeine drain out.

argh, am gonna swear off tea.

I wore this dress from BC:

and showered with compliments I was.

from the very moment I stepped into the office,

a colleague from another department asked, 'I loved your dress! Where do you get? Is it from BonitoChico?'

me: *sniggers* yea.

colleague: the other day, you wore a skirt from BC also right?

me: *sniggers* yea.

and I scurry to my seat.

throughout the day, I received thumbsup for the dress.

pretty embarrassed I was.

but I guess it shows that it's a good buy!

oh yes, did it rain?

friday

it rained.

and I love how my fridays begin with lighter footsteps, tgif yay!

and cute ang moh (a brunet?) at the bus stop just makes it better haha.

pity he didn't take the same bus as me like last week. boo.

geez, crazy over man much.

office was extremely chilly.

oh yes, it rained. hard.

saturday

the usual workout in the morning.

sweat like a pig.

was planning to go to the zouk's flea.

but realised it was on sunday.

then knew about the evening flea at sam from Cheng.

but both of us were too nua to get our butts out of the house.

so stayed at home I did.

watched This is It with aunt and sis.

still trying to get use to paying $10 for entertainment.

student price, I miss you.

watched Singin' in the Rain on okto.

absolutely loved the fashion!

oh yes, it didn't rain. finally.

Ting Ting and Sinti are in Spain now.

hope they are having great fun!

and before they go, I was tasked to take care of Ting Ting's plants.

I hope I have not been over watering them! :/

I'm meeting the girls this friday! :)

eat fresh.

I've always been a regular at subway junction 8.
mainly because it's within the vicinity.
also because it sells egg mayo! the only sub that I buy and my favourite too haha.
fyi, egg mayo is only available at certain outlets.

anyways, I've been a frequent these few weeks that this sandwhich artist (SA for short) recognises me.

and recently, I've made a change to my usual order.
I opted for a triple berry instead of chocolate chip cookie.
cos I figured it's a healthier choice haha!

yea, and the SA would remind me that triple berry is not a cookie (yes I know), hence the difference is pricing.
fyi (again), triple berry is $1.90 and a chocolate chip cookie is $1.20

just yesterday, I went to get dinner for sis and I.
the SA was manning the first pole instead of his usual cashier pole.
as soon as he saw me, he gave me a smile, looked over to the cookie tray and shrugged.
'Sorry, no triple berry today.'
what a nice gesture yes? haha.

having not getting my triple berry yesterday, I was determined to get one today haha.
and the SA was back at his usual cashier pole.
he gave me the usual smile, gave me my triple berry and asked why I wasn't getting a sandwhich.
'Long queue.' I replied.

but actually, sis ate with her friends and I wasn't in for a heavy dinner.
so a triple berry would suffice.
and I walked away, feeling slightly embarrassed that I've once again left an impression.

PS: I don't know why, but I can't help but think that his face lits up when he sees me.
oh shit, I think I'm thinking too much hahah.
